The Thorn Institute is a small, long-horizon institute based in Melbourne, Australia, for the structured exploration of consciousness — introductory to advanced. We work across sound science, books, programs, retreats and advisory work.

We do not sell enlightenment and we do not trade in dogma. We share frameworks, patterns, and the repeated observations of experiencers, scientists, researchers, cultures and recorded histories.

Our work sits at the intersection of contemplative practice, phenomenology and audio-assisted state work — including Monroe Sound Science and binaural beats — in forms that are structured and easy to access.
